Our new Skin Training space... The Academy.

Welcome to The Academy, our newly refurbished Skin Training Academy and space! We are thrilled to unveil our beautifully transformed space, which has been a labor of love over the past four weeks. Join Natalie as she take’s you through the exciting journey of creating a welcoming and inspiring environment for our students..

Setting the Vision

When I embarked on this project, my goal was to create a space that reflects my commitment to excellence in skincare education. I envisioned a modern and inviting atmosphere that keeps learning, creativity, and relaxation as it’s main focus.

Before the renovation could begin, I carefully planned and prepared for the transformation. I wanted a beautiful space that not only represented ‘me’, but could also still be a working, practical skin clinic.. and that is one of my main goals with The Academy. Teaching students from a busy, working and thriving skin clinic. Before the decorating process started, I consulted with local business The Florist, by Blush- who also has a sister business Blush Home. Wow, their pieces are incredible! Myself and my Husband got married in the summer at Middleton Lodge in Richmond, North Yorkshire, and I wanted a Middleton Lodge feel with my own personal taste. Modern Clean, meets Warm Farmhouse vibes. I wanted to also make my choices in keeping with the space’s natural charm and features, which are why I fell in love with the building we are located in! This stage was crucial in laying the foundation for the stunning space you see today.

With the planning complete, it was time to roll up my sleeves and get to work! Walls were stripped, painted, plastered, flooring was refreshed and lighting fixtures were carefully chosen to create the perfect ambiance. It was an exciting and sometimes challenging process, but I was fueled by my passion for creating a space that my students customers would love. As well as a hell of a lot of coffee!

The Journey & Space

I was so lucky to also share this time with my sister, who is across the hallway in her beauty business, Beauty by Alicia. We are so close as a family, and this made perfect sense to create a space together. In each of our rooms, you can feel such a sense of ‘us’. Throughout the refurbishment, we paid close attention to every detail, no matter how small. From selecting gorgeous refreshments for our complimentary drinks station, to changing the wall colours several times for the best light.

We are based in Brigg, a beautiful Market Town in Lincolnshire, and we couldn't be more in love with the place if we tried! From the tiny boutique shops, to the beautiful cafes and resturants, it really is a gorgeous place and somewhere I'm so excited to show my students around too.

I also wanted to provide my students with a comfortable, inspiring place. So from choosing colours and tones that create a calming space, to artwork and details that will inspire creativity, I wanted every aspect of the Skin Academy to contribute to a positive and enriching experience. I want our students to feel at ease as they embark on their skincare education journey

After weeks of hard work and anticipation, we were thrilled to reveal our newly refurbished salon, Jade & Jones, home to my brand new skin academy! Our opening night was the biggest success, and I couldn’t believe how much everyone adored the space. Naturally I felt so proud anyway, but to hear others love it just as much as I did, was amazing.

I am incredibly proud of the journey I have taken to create this stunning new space for my students. I truly feel it is a testament to my dedication to providing the best Education and Training possible. For years I’ve noticed such huge gaps within the Skin Industry, and truly wanted to deliver courses and business knowledge that can help as many other students as possible create their dream lives, all because of their career in SKIN! I look forward to welcoming each and every one of my  valued customers and students into this new space and continuing to empower them on their Skin journey.
